ABOUT ME
Hello!
As a native Northern Virginian, I grew up in Herndon and McLean. After working in business for several years I realized that my greatest joy was coaching volleyball and working with kids. I returned to school to earn a Master's degree and began my teaching career. After teaching for five years I had a craving for a humbling experience. Together with a colleague, I embarked on a yearlong process to engage a teaching position internationally.
Luckily, I landed a job in Trieste, Italy at a small international school. I spent two years teaching at the International School of Trieste and traveling extensively. Croatia and Slovenia were my neighbors and two of my favorite locations to visit however, I have been lucky enough to also travel to Tunisia, Austria, Ireland, England, and Germany. This life changing opportunity was incredible and has instilled in me a love of traveling, history, and culture.
I returned to the states and my favorite grade, fifth! Working with a former parent in 2015, I started this small business, Blissful by Design, specializing in personalized gifts, monogramming, and embroidery. As I continue to challenge myself creatively I have started delving into screen printing, but maintain a firm foot in my Cricut roots as well as monograming and embroidery with my sewing machine.
